Other people’s thoughts on our route...

It’s a bit like torture really. I’d rather have a nice holiday!”

“Everything you’ve done up until now has been brilliant... trips to Scotland, Lake District, North Africa, France... But this one... you might aswell be going to the moon!”

“My mate went travelling. He went all the way to Australia. He went on a plane and he’s back already.”

“Tajikistan? I’ve never even heard of it! It sounds like a made-up name... like something out of Lord of the Rings.”
Current position: Istanbul, Turkey

Europe
Our expedition commenced 1 June 2008. Our route took us from the UK across to the Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania and Bulgaria.

We are now spending Winter 2008 working and resting in Turkey.
Caucaus and Central Asia
In Spring 2009, we are cycling through Turkey, Georgia and Azerbaijan. Crossing the Caspian Sea, our route takes us through Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan. We hope to reach China by the summer of 2009.
The Himalayas
We are cycling across the Xinjiang Province of China and onto the Tibetan Plateau. This high altitude road sometimes reaches over 5000 metres above sea level. After making a pilgrimage to the sacred mountain of Kailash, we hope to reach Lhasa, the capital of Tibet in the autumn of 2009.
